Brigham Legacy Society
The 2021 Brigham Legacy Society Event
On Wednesday, October 13, The Brigham Legacy Society hosted its second virtual event. Physicians, hospital friends, and leaders joined to celebrate and thank those forward-thinking supporters who are transforming the future of medicine by including the hospital in their estate plans. We were honored to have Dr. Atul Gawande, MPH, General and Endocrine Surgeon, Founder and Chair, Ariadne Labs, and Dr. Daniele Lamas, Co-director, COVID Recovery Center, Critical Care Physician, Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care, give a special presentation on the “Lessons Learned from the COVID-19 Pandemic.” Together, they shared what Brigham and Women’s Hospital has learned from the pandemic and how we are continuing to confront COVID-19 through vaccine trials, our new COVID Recovery Center, and more.
The Brigham Legacy Society Changes the Future of Medicine
The Brigham Legacy Society at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital was established to recognize those individuals who have included either hospital in their estate plans through a will, trust, retirement plan, life-income gift, or other planned gift.
Through their generosity and thoughtful foresight, these special friends have created a legacy to support the hospitals' mission to advance teaching, research, and patient care.
You can easily make a difference in the lives of others by:
- Naming the hospitals as a beneficiary of a will or trust
- Establishing a charitable gift annuity, charitable remainder trust, or other life-income gift
- Designating the hospitals as a beneficiary of a qualified retirement account, or life insurance policy
- Designating real estate, artwork, or other property to the hospitals
