The Brigham Legacy Society Changes the Future of Medicine

The Brigham Legacy Society at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital was established to recognize those individuals who have included either hospital in their estate plans through a will, trust, retirement plan, life-income gift, or other planned gift.

Through their generosity and thoughtful foresight, these special friends have created a legacy to support the hospitals' mission to advance teaching, research, and patient care.

You can easily make a difference in the lives of others by:

  • Naming the hospitals as a beneficiary of a will or trust
  • Establishing a charitable gift annuity, charitable remainder trust, or other life-income gift
  • Designating the hospitals as a beneficiary of a qualified retirement account, or life insurance policy
  • Designating real estate, artwork, or other property to the hospitals

The Brigham Legacy Society Luncheon

On Monday, September 25, The Brigham Legacy Society celebrated its annual luncheon at The Mandarin Oriental hotel in Boston’s Back Bay. Nearly 150 attendees enjoyed conversation, cocktails, and lunch. A thought-provoking presentation by Martin Samuels, MD, Chair of Neurology at BWH, entitled “Pain and the Brain” followed lunch.
